I read "Dawn of a thirsty century". I was surprised to find that only 2.5% of the water on earth is not salty. Considering that the world is 2/3 water, 2 and a half percent is hardly enough to quench the thirst of the billions of its inhabitants. I think that an alternate form of acquiring h2o. Maybe we could filter out the ocean water somehow.

Drought declared in California

The article "Drought declared in California" is about how governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared a state wide drought in California. He said that if California does not cut down the water usage they would take matters into their own hands like for example rationing their water. With a lot of water missing the crops are going to be affected and many farms will go out and wont be able to produce more goods. Everyone should take part i conserving water to save our environment and have a better life and not have to fight for our survival. We should try and conserve water so that we can have a better future and no one would have to suffer.

The article I read today is about the the amount of water. The amount of water in the world is limited and this is causing many droughts around the world. In the article it said that 2.5 % of the world's water in not salty and that two thirds of that is locked up in the ice caps and the glaciers. So that doesn't leave to much water for the human race to have because we have to share it with all the living creatures. This includes all the animals. The humans have less than 0.08% of all the earth's water. So we may run out if water any time soon.

Drought Declared in California

Our governor of California has finally declared a drought throughout the whole state. California needs help from the Sierra Nevada Mountains to get more water. We have been way below average on average rainfall and now we are paying consequences for not using our water carefully. We might have to start water rationing and use the water wisely. The amount of crops planted would decline and that would cost farmers money.

Kyoto

The reason that Kyoto is involved in climate change is that it's like a treaty between 160 countries which is to decrease emissions from 2008 to 2012. The reason this was made was to lower the amount of co2 let in the air.

Pentagon: Suspected Mastermind of USS Cole Bombing Confesses

One of the masterminds who planned the bombing Waleed Mohammed Bin Attash has recently confessed to the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole and the bombing of the U.S. embassy's in Kenya and in Tanzania 1998 which killed 213. In the bombing of the U.S. Cole it killed 37 sailors on October 12, 2000. In his confession he says that he has bought explosives and has been training suicide bombings.

Terrorism has been an important issue in San Diego, or anyother state. Terrorism can be described as a crime or justified reaction to oppression and an inexcusable abomination. Of course it depends on who's point of view is being represented. Terrorism has become common among those pursuing goals throughout the world. In the U.S terrorism is a nebulous concept. Well for me terrorism is something really dangerous and that's the cause of why a lot of people is dyeing. Everytime there's a terrorism in our state innocent people its affected by this.

The article "Pentagon:Suspected Mastermind of USS Cole Bombing Confesses" talks about how Waleed Mohammed Bin Attash bombed the battle ship USS Cole. Which he admitted that he took part in buying the explosives and fixing them to make a deadly impact on the ship. He too admitted he had planned some things for 9/11 the pentagon had gotten a confession of some other planned attacks. This obviously relates to terrorism because many people affected they get scared and fear for themselves and their loved ones. I think that people like him are dumb because why would they kill themselves just to worship another guy or to make him happy. Making other people die just so that you could make your country and your family proud that is just plain stupid.

The article I read today was about how president Bush signed the USA Patriot Act. This act gives federal authority to tag telephone and track the Internet. The bill was passed after the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center in New York and The Pentagon. This bill is to track down any act of terrorism that wants to or is going to take place. But with this hopefully nothing else like the attacks that have happen before happen again, that way no innocent have to die.

The article I read was about a man that confessed to plotting and attacking a United States Naval boat called the USS Cole the man's name was Waleed Mohammed Bin Attash he confessed at a hearing in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and another man by the name khalid sheikh mohammed confessed to nearly three dozen plots of terrorism including the 9/11 attacking on the twin towers this subject relates to the terrorist attacks that have been occurring lately I think that this article is very informing because it is something i never knew before and it showed me something i didnt know

Terrorism is something that gets mistaken for a criminal act. Terrorism is a unlawful way to go about things and it's not right. Terrorism is a way for somebody to take away someones rights. What I think about terrorism is that it is something a person or a group of people do to get there way and hurt someone that their inferior to. I think that this relates to our bombing that we had in 9/11 and this could happen to any country they want.

The things that are making us have this crazy climate is a problem that is affecting everybody and the cause of the climate change is us. There are natural causes and man made causes to global warming for instance methane released from the arctic tundra and from aquatic storages in the ocean.But in my opinion i think that the man made causes do the most damage to the environment because we use methane, coal, oil, and other fossil fuels at alarming rates.Also when we dig up these fossil fuels we release methane in the process.With a increased population it also hurts the planet causing co2 gas to enter our atmosphere even more.

Today I read a really interesting article about the solutions for climate change. This article was published in November 26,2007. One solution this article said was to eliminate burning of coal, oil and ,also natural gas. According to this article these are the main problems of the climate change. In this article it said something that I really agree with, people need to lower the use of gasoline. One gallon of gasoline produces 20 pounds of CO₂. In my opinion people need to start helping with this solution. Some time people don't really work with this solutions, because they think that if they don't help it will not make any problem. In reality at the end it affects we all need to help. I think that this article has really good information.

Global Climate Changes Research

The article I read was called Global Climate Changes Research it was about how much of an increase in heat we have had over the past one thousand years. it explained how each year the climate rises around 0.8 degrees Celsius. Which is effecting how our weather is being changed into storms and natural disasters. For example such as a rise in heat can cause tornadoes to increase in size and how frequently they will occur. This article also explains how we humans are creating carbon dioxide which is making our environment worse and creates these problems with the earth heating and causing these storms.

Possible Solutions to Global Warming

There are many scientist that feel that there are solutions or that there isn't a solution to global warming. Scientist believe that we can stop global warming by decreasing the amount of fossil fuels being put in the air and by using fuel efficient cars. On the other hand there are a handful of people who think that global warming can not be reversed. I personally think that global warming may not be reversible at this point unless we stop everything that we are doing and start making a change. We cant not use the cars were using now unless they can go around 100 miles to the gallon and not let out gases into the air. We need to use solar panels in our homes and everywhere we go. Because of this change in temperature we are going to see catastrophic disasters that will be man made. To start making a change we have to start now.

The emissions of CO2 (carbon dioxide), are built up in the atmosphere and are causing global warming. When I read this article I was surprised to find that the ocean is acidic. It turns out that the ocean is naturally acidic, but the hastening of Global Warming is adding to the acidity. With the acidity growing, it is directly effecting the temperature. Wildlife is threatened. If the animals in the ocean are effected negatively, will animals on the surface be effected the same way? I think it will be difficult to halt this destructive pattern of pollution. Hopefully, someone will find a way.

Effects of a Changing climate

The article that i read today was the first one on the list. It is really interesting because it has a lot of changes. Like something that I found interesting is that the glaciers are becoming smaller, the permafrost is melting away and how the lakes and the rivers are becoming warmer. This is very scary to everyone, any time soon the sun can become hotter each day it could destroy and dry up the land and/or the water level can rise up and put cities under water.

The article that I read was "Climate Change Has Major Impact on Oceans." What I learned from this article was that because of the increase in water temperature, it has a huge effect on the ocean geography. The marine life that is most endangered is coral reefs. One effect is algae dying and the animals that feed off of it will soon die. I know that 80 percent of the coral reef in the Caribbean has died and that number will increase all throughout our oceans.

What i learned today

Today i learned about how the climate of our world is being affected by the way we all live and how we treat our enviornment the kinds of problems going on are Huricanes earth quakes and tsunamis which are caused by either an increase or decrease in our weather and can cause massive destruction and many deaths what i learned is that if we took better care of our enviornment the climates would not change and we could prevent a natural disaster

What I learned today

Today was an interesting day. It wasn't super productive though. I spent a lot of time in a cloud of confusion. I managed to find another article, but one i found yesterday turned out to be worthless. I have not equipped my article with a summery yet, and so i have home work. I did learn that technology is important to know. I should pay more attension and try harder to learn all I can about it.
